The alien easter egg you missed in New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a title that changed the Animal Crossing series, but it’s not the first to include creepy easter eggs.

The previous installment of the series, Animal Crossing: New Leaf had pretty much the same easter egg. It occurred at the same time, but on Sundays and Mondays, effectively making this easter egg twice as rare in New Horizons.

There’s an even older event in two other Animal Crossing titles: a flying UFO. Players can actually use a slingshot to shoot down a UFO in Animal Crossing Wild World and Animal Crossing City Folk. Gulliver the seagull is found with the crashed spaceship, and players are tasked with finding the missing components to help him get back to flying (sound familiar, New Horizons players?).

That’s not all. In Animal Crossing: The Movie, the main character, Ai, helps Gulliver find the necessary parts for his spaceship. It seems like the developers behind Animal Crossing series have an affinity for aliens and UFOs.
