For most people with epilepsy, exposure to bright lights at specific intensities can trigger seizures. Continuous efforts are in place to reduce the risk of seizure for people with photo-sensitive epilepsy, and the warnings have included flashes of light from video games. With this said, it appears that not everyone is in support of the abovementioned measures.

There are people, particularly neighbors, who have gone from being petty to psychotic. Among the numerous disgruntled neighbor, one has sparked an outrage on the internet, having turned against epileptic kids in the neighborhood. In Oklahoma, this unnamed neighbor installed strobe lights on their front lawn to prevent epileptic kids from using a school bus stop.

Taking the matter to heart and feeling the need for urgent help, Reddit User AwareTable, the dad-of-three young elementary-aged children that all have a severe case of epilepsy, turned to the r/legaladvice community to share his burden. What’s more interesting is that his children aren’t the only epileptic kids who wait at the bus stop daily.

Two other kids have the illness, and they’ve all been grouping to catch the bus. But sadly, the neighbor purchased a house right in front of the bus stop, and going by what User @awaretable explained; he’s been hell to everyone. On his 2nd day of staying in the apartment, the neighbor had harassed the kids informing them to get off his newly-purchased property even though they were on a public road.

On the other hand, an appeal was made to the school to pick up the kids further down the street, but that didn’t work as well. Presently, parents are driving their kids to school while seeking a better solution.
